His debut on Kingsway – perhaps the preeminent worship music collective/label in the UK – doesn’t drop in the U.S. until January 26, but we’ve already heard enough to peg this soulful worship songwriter as one to watch. A full-time worship leader at Grace Center in Franklin, Tenn., McClarney’s “Your Love Never Fails” has already made its way around the world by way of the Jesus Culture youth movement which adopted the song as its theme (Jesus Culture was a top worship seller in the Australian market). The CD (already out in the UK) landed in the Top 100 Christian CDs on iTunes, without so much as a Euro of marketing money. And frankly, not since Shane & Shane appeared on the worship radar has there been this kind of potential in modern acoustic-based worship fare.
