Maybe it’s because there’s such a gluttony of all-guy rock bands. Maybe it’s because there’s simply nothing else like these two young singer/songwriters in Christian music. Maybe it’s because they deliver the goods, lyrically and vocally. Maybe it’s all the above, plus the fact that “Drifting Away” was recently featured on Private Practice. But for those reasons and for all the potential of the tale-tell sophomore release (whenever it hits), Tal & Acacia get our vote as ‘ones (or two) to watch.’ It’s about time we heard some seriously compelling organic pop a la Feist, Norah Jones, Michelle Branch, Leigh Nash, et. al., with an imaginative, faith-centered bent. Eagerly looking forward to what comes next.
