Detroit, known to all as an historic breeding ground for great music, was the perfect setting for the recording of Byron Cage’s latest release, Faithful to Believe. Recorded live at Second Ebenezer Baptist Church, Cage charged the atmosphere with high praise songs like “I Give You Praise” and the title track and first single, “Faithful to Believe.” All ears will be perked with great expectation for this release, as Aaron Lindsey was enlisted, undoubtedly, in hopes that he’ll reproduce the production Midas touch that made Marvin Sapp’s Thirsty gold.

A stop in Detroit isn’t complete without pulling in some of the city’s Gospel music treasures to sweeten the sound. Cage welcomes Tye Tribbett, a voice of the new generation of Gospel music, on “In the Midst.” Towards the end of the project, the veteran skills of Karen Clark Sheard and Marvin Winans are featured on “Lord You Are My Everything.” Accompanied by a seasoned vocal ensemble on the ballads “He Will Answer” and “Simply Yes,” Gospel music's "Prince of Praise” is at his best.

Faithful to Believe is energizing. Listeners will be uplifted as they navigate sounds ranging from traditional church to poignant, reverential melodies, and embark upon a thematic journey of praise, encouragement, and expressions of heartfelt
admiration for God.
