Pop songstress Britt Nicole’s new sophomore release The Lost Get Found has already drawn musical comparisons to artists ranging from Krystal Meyers, Natalie Grant and Francesca Battistelli all the way to mainstream counterparts such as Gwen Stefani, Avril Lavigne and Katy Perry. What that probably says the most about the 24-year-old Nicole is that she’s got the chops, the style and the flair to hold her own side-by-side with some of pop music’s leading ladies.

And it’s true. The Lost Get Found packs a pretty powerful punch, kicking off with the energetic title track and first single that is already being embraced by Christian radio, followed by the equally danceable “How We Roll.” Nicole dons her rocker-chick cap for songs like “Welcome To The Show” and “Glow,” which both showcase elements of vocal attitude a la the aforementioned Avril L. and Katy P. But it’s on the mellower ballads (“Safe,” “Walk On The Water,” “Feel The Light,” “Have Your Way”) that we get the best glimpse of Nicole’s true vocal talent. She knows how to work a song and deliver it in her most gutsy and heart-felt way, maintaining a lyrical integrity that keeps these songs fun, encouraging and inspirational to a multi-generational audience. A great follow-up effort for this emerging young artist.
