Three-Day Marathon of Live Performances Features More Than 30 Gospel/Christian Artists
ATLANTA, GA – July 1, 2008 – Gospel Music Channel (GMC) television network will offer a soundtrack to the upcoming 4th of July holiday weekend with three days of non-stop live music performances and concert specials featuring many of today’s hottest Christian/Gospel music artists.
GMC’s Live 4th of July Weekend begins on Friday, Independence Day morning at 7 a.m. (ET) and features concerts by artists suited to every music fan’s tastes, encompassing the same diversity that reflects Gospel Music Channel’s vision. Twenty-four different artists in 49 episodes of Front Row Live – GMC’s original series that features powerhouse artists hosting intimate live concert performances and sharing their musical inspirations in front of specially-invited audiences – comprise the core of the weekend. Included are Front Row Live concerts from soul artists Kirk Franklin, Myron Butler, The Clark Sisters, Fred Hammond, J Moss, The Rance Allen Group and Calvin Cooke; country and southern-flavored Austins Bridge, Brian Free & Assurance, The Isaacs and Alabama’s Randy Owen; Christian rockers Family Force 5, Mike Farris, Hawk Nelson and Fireflight and the contemporary pop of Michael W. Smith, Natalie Grant, Rebecca St. James, Aaron Shust, The Afters and Connersvine. Concert specials featuring Casting Crowns, MercyMe and Ben Harper and the Blind Boys of Alabama are also included in the three-day marathon.
