Network Launches New Platform for Emerging Artists, Newworldson Deemed New LISTEN UP Profile

ATLANTA, GA – May 30, 2008 – Gospel Music Channel (GMC) recently unveiled LISTEN UP a new multi-platform promotional campaign featuring new and emerging Gospel/Christian recording artists who are on the verge of becoming break-out stars. The nation’s first and only 24/7 all-Gospel/Christian music television network also announced Inpop Records’ soul/folk band Newworldson, out of Canada, as the newest band to be recognized under LISTEN UP.

GMC’s LISTEN UP – mirrored after successful programs such as VH1’s “You Oughta Know” and MTV’s “Buzzworthy" – is an on-going campaign, with a new artist highlighted monthly. Artists selected for LISTEN UP will be showcased extensively across the network’s television and on-line platforms.

This month LISTEN UP will feature Newworldson, with singer Joel Parisien, Josh Toal on guitar, Rich Moore on bass and Mark Rogers on drums. This four-piece Gospel combo was introduced to the Gospel world during the 2007-08 Go Tour where they were invited to open for Newboys. Now Newworldson is celebrating the birth of their debut 11-song album Salvation Station in stores now.
