It is this desire and belief that is central to the life and ministry of the GRAMMY-nominated worship band SONICFLOOd. The group returns with their latest studio release, A Heart Like Yours (Word Distribution). The first on their independent label Resonate Records, the new disc features 11 uplifting praise anthems, centered on changing our hearts to be more like Christ’s, and living courageously for Him.

Lift your hands and look to Love”

The album’s first single, “Look to Love,” along with “How It’s Supposed to Be” are pulsating, hook-filled invitations for every believer to live boldly in their faith, while “In Your Presence” and “Psalm 91” (with its almost tribal beat and Hebrew chant-infused background), praise God for His limitless power and love.  

SONICFLOOd front man Rick Heil says of writing A Heart Like Yours, “I love all kinds of sounds from reflective to high energy. For this record, we wanted to get past our human fears of insecurity to really open up and be transparent in writing these songs of adoration. These are some of the most vulnerable songs we have written yet.”

SONICFLOOd has appeared on TBN’s Praise the Lord and GOD TV’s The Florida Outpouring, as well as CBN’s The 700 Club. The band has also partnered with several organizations, including Voice of the Martyrs, a nonprofit organization that supports Christians who are persecuted for their faith for a teen-oriented Bible study program, and Compassion International, a popular child sponsorship organization.

Since its 1999 debut, SONICFLOOd has sold almost two million records, and produced the top hits “I Could Sing of Your Love Forever,” “I Want to Know You,” “Your Love Goes on Forever,” “Resonate” and “Cry Holy.” The band has also earned Dove Awards and a GRAMMY nomination. In addition they have scored multiple ASCAP awards for their songwriting talents.

While excited to bring this new music to people here in the United States, SONICFLOOd remains committed to spreading God’s Word internationally, as well. The band has toured Australia, the Bahamas, Brazil, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Malaysia, Mexico, Northern Ireland, the Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
